A semiannual art experience is right around the corner yet again this year, and the Winchester Wriggle Committee has chosen El Arte as the theme for the fall event.
As the Winchester Downtown Program presents the Square with a night of fine art, musical talent and cultural diversity, the juried art show will have more of a Spanish theme.
The theme El Arte was chosen to inspire the artist to expound upon Spanish culture through their unique artistic interpretation, said Winchester Downtown Program Director Abby Pickett.
Pickett said the committee is seeking artists to enter the show, and the deadline is Aug. 28.
“The juried art show application is live on our website,” Pickett said.
The art show will be held in the special occasion’s room at San Miguel Coffee Company at 19 South Jefferson St.
Pickett said the artwork entries must be original and of the artist’s own execution, completed within the past three years.
